Sirah 101: Life Of The Prophet ﷺ Before Madinah

An introduction to the life of our dear Prophet ﷺ and his life up to his migration to Madinah.

Fiqh 110: Performingh Salah

This course will cover the method, approach, meaning, and rules of daily salah. This includes the method of prayer, attaining devotion and fear of Allah during salah, fiqhi classifications of its various aspects (conditions, faraid, wajibat, sunan, nawaqid), how to perform various types of prayer (qada, qasr witr), translation and meaning of what we recite (adkhar, Surah Fatihah, and tashahhud), and other discussions.

Aqidah 101: Aqidah Tahawia

A study of Imam Al Tahawi’s 1000+ year old, universally accepted and comprehensive text on Islamic beliefs. The book, العقيدة الطحاوية, has been used for centuries by all Sunni schools of thought to teach Islamic theology at a level of detail finer than would be otherwise used to introduce Islamic beliefs to children. Many commentaries have been written on this work, and no Muslim adult should go without having studied a text such as this.

Quran And Arabic Classes 2023-24

Quran 101: Quran Reading Foundations

For adults (15+) who are unable to read the Quran or are unable to read it fluently. This class will develop qaidah level skills for adults (letter recognition and joining letters and vowels). It will also focus on correct pronunciation of letters (makharij). Students who have completed qaidah will develop reading fluency and quality. The class will accommodate learners at various levels of reading prior to achieving minimum fluency.

Quran 102: Tajwid

For adults (15+) who can read the Quran but need to correct their pronunciation of difficult Arabic letters, improve reading ability, and learn the application of basic tajwid rules (such as غنة، إخفاء، قلقلة). The class includes both a theory and practical component. In the practical component, students will apply what they have learned by reciting individually to the teacher. Separate classes are held for men and women, with highly qualified teachers. This class is intended for both novice students as well as those students who have taken this class in the past but would like to continue developing their tajwid beyond the beginner level.

Quran 103: Quran Reading And Tajwid Fluency

For adults (15+), this class assumes prior knowledge of tajwid rules and prior practice of correct pronunciation (makharij). This class is for experienced students to further their fluency in Quran (and Arabic reading) as well as to perfect their application of tajwid rules through practice.

Arabic 201: Intermediate Arabic I

A course covering speaking, reading, and writing of Quranic Arabic taught in a part time format. The program focuses heavily on learning the Arabic language using the Madina Arabic books, focusing primarily on volume 2.

Sirah 303: The Chosen One: Life Of The Prophet ﷺ Last Years

This engaging and authentic online course is an in depth study of the life of our Prophet ﷺ and the practical inspirations it provides for our lives. This year long class is a continuation of a class offered in two prior years. This year we will dive into how Allah gave victory to the Prophet and Muslims after years of suffering and pain. We also will explore how the Prophet interacted with non Muslims and invited them to Islam with wisdom and love. Join us to embark on an inspirational journey and to develop an immense love for Allah and His Beloved ﷺ.

Hifz And Tajwid For Sisters

This class combines a structurd tajwid learning program with Quran memorization (tahfiz). It is an excellent opportunity for sisters to spend mornings connecting with Allah’s book. Students will improve their Quran recitation to a high level, with a female reciter who has an ijazah in the Hafs mode of recitation. Sisters will also memorize the Quran in a structured format of new memorization and revision. Motivated sisters can pursue this program long term to complete memorization of the entire Quran. This class will follow the Quran Memorization (for children) calendar, except that the teacher may give an additional 7 days off in the year with advance notice to students.
