As is customary in the prayer hall, we'll ask guests to remove their shoes. There's a shelf by the entrance where visitors can keep their shoes.

In our tradition, men and women who aren't family greet each other with a smile or a hand over the heart rather than a handshake. If your host greets you this way, it's simply a sign of respect.
